The instructional articles are based on my own experiences and may, or may not, be helpful to you [as "they" say YMMV - your mileage may vary]. My approach is based on information picked up from my involvement with NAPP, PEI, books, magazine articles, a number of instructional web sites, and - most importantly - what works for me. I do not claim that this is the only way to accomplish a specific task, I just know that right now it is working for me. These are working documents in that as I discover something new, or hear of a new approach from someone else, then I try it. If it works, I modify my process. Please, if you see an error, or have a better way to do the same thing let me know. A word of caution here - I have not tried to modify this information to be such that it fits all the various camera, computer or software brands. I use Canon cameras for my film (EOS 3) and digital (1D3, 1Ds2) capture work; I use a Nikon 4000 for scanning slides; I use an Apple® MacBook® for field work and an Apple G5 in my office; and I use Adobe Photoshop® CS3 and Lightroom™ for all my digital darkroom work; and, finally, I use Epson 4000 with ImagePrint and HP Z3100 printers for my printing.
The travel articles will vary by specific item and will typically include a number of varying elements, such as maps, photos, information on getting to the location, why I like that location, or special places at that location.
